Tim Dixon (1996/97)

Okay, the Dover bit and ‘legend’ tag was never more deserved than by the  original ‘Dicko’ whose dynamic midfield play led his home town club to the Beazer Homes League championship in 1989/90.

Tim came to Cheriton Road at the start of Darren Hare’s brief spell as Invicta manager. And while Darren didn’t have the best of times with us, we did have him to thank for bringing Timmie and the equally excellent Steve (‘Seve’) Lawrence to this side of the hill.

Dicko’s now manager at Ramsgate. No-one’s perfect.
