:Josh is the one remaining member of a trio of outstanding youth team players brought into the first team following a financial crisis and wage freeze midway through season 2008/09 that was followed by the departure of virtually half a squad of the higher paid semi-pros.

JV, as he is known by most around the club, settled easily into football at this level and has now passed 300 games for the club despite still being only 25..

Undoubtedly these days one of the first names on manager Neil Cugley's team-sheet along with the rest of a well-established back five.

JV was voted Invicta’s young player of the year in his first senior season and scored the opening goal in the play-off final victory over Godalming the following year that took Folkestone back into the Ryman Premier Division in 2010/11.

A loyal and much valued member of the squad, though now Folkestone-based, Josh works on the farm that his family own in the Elham Valley.
