Finn O'Mara, the young Gillingham defender who spent several months on loan with Invicta has rejoined the club on a permanent basis and goes straight into their squad for tomorrow's home game against Dorking Wanderers.

The South London-based played impressed in central defence and at fullback, playing 12 times in the league for Folkestone last season with three appearances on the bench.

He also played in several cup ties for the club and scored in an early round FA Cup victory over Tooting & Mitcham at the Fullicks.

Manager Neil Cugley said: "Finn enjoyed his time with us here last season and I'm really pleased that he has now signed on a more permanent basis."

The 19-year-old joins intitially on an 18-month contract.

As previously reported, O'Mara's arrival will almost certainly signal a second departure from the club following the release of former Margate midfielder Jack Evans earlier this week,

After tomorrow's game with fifth placed Dorking, Folkestone travel to Bognor Regis on Tuesday and to Lewis a week tomorrow (October 20th).
