JACK'S ON HIS WAY AS INVICTA LOOK TO BRING IN NEW BLOOD AND START CLIMBING BACK UP THE TABLE

Midfielder Jack Evans has become the first player released by Folkestone Invicta as manager Neil starts rebuilding his misfiring team.

Evans, signed from Margate last summer, scored Invicta's goal in last weekend's disappointing 4-1 defeat away to Kingstonian but the manager has said that if he can bring several new faces to the Fullucks Stadium, others have to go to balance the books.

One other contracted player has also been told that he can go but with Cugs looking for up to four new faces - if possible - that may not be the last of the departures in the next few weeks.

We will bring more news on this ever-changing situation as soon as we have it.

In the meantime the players trained well last night, Tuesday, ahead of Saturday's difficult home game with Dorking Wanderers.

Phil Starkey is still a fitness doubt but is expected to play.
