Folkestone Invicta Disability FC 2015/6 

Folkestone Invicta Disability Fc s A team won the Prem league section of the Kent Disability football league.
In the Champ2 league the B team finished 4th following promotion to the league last season in the final round of fixtures they beat Deal All Stars 2-0 with goals from James Willis and Kane Malyon. Drew 0-0 with Swanscombe, and lost 1-0 to both Charlton and Anchorians.

In the Prem Section Folkestone Invicta Disability FC became Kent Champions with there opponents not turning up.
In Champ 2 Folkestone Invicta Disability FC had a reasonable Day
FIDFC 1-0 Deal Kane Malyon with the goal .
FIDFC 0-0 Charlton a good draw with league leaders .
FIDFC 0-3 Anchorian Equals  an early mistake by Dave Warde gifted the Equals the lead . Then a bizzare OG with Geraint Wilson making a fine save and the ball ricochet in off his head . Equals wrapped up with a third .
FIDFC 1-0 Swanscombe  James Willis fired Invicta ahead before Connor Hunter conceded a penalty . Geraint Wilson Saving the Spot Kick and  Man of the Match Carl Chapman cleared . Invicta held on for the win .

Folkestone Invicta Disability FC travelled to Lancing for the Quarter Finals but Disappointingly failed to go through losing 2-0 to Reading Deaf FC and St Albans before beating Sussex FA 2-0 with a brace from Damian Barnett .
To many players had off days today in the first two with individual mistakes costing goals .

On Saturday 2nd April Folkestone Invicta Disability FC travel to Sussex FA Headquarters Lancing Sussex for the Regional 11aside Quarter Final where they Play Reading DFC Sussex FA and St Albans . Games Start at 11am. There is a coach going leaving Stripes at 7.45 am cost is £10 for any Supporters interested .


Folkestone Invicta Disability FC team
Took part in Champ 2 Division. In there first game they took on Deal All Stars where they won 1-0 with a goal from Kane Malyon .
In there second game they faced Charlton where they lost 1-0 in a tight encounter.
The third game was against leaders Anchorians where again a narrow 1-0 defeat with Invicta having a few chances .
The fourth game against Swanscombe ended 0-0 with Kane Malyon and David Warde both having good chances to steal all the points.
Fifth game was a 1-0 win against Maidstone awarded as team did not turn up

In the Prem Division Invicta were handed all Twelve points as Maidstone and Charlton Deaf did not turn up due to illness and travel issues respectively meaning Invicta need two points from 24 to win the Title .

QPR inclusive 1-8 Folkestone Invicta Disability FC
Invicta travelled to Vale Park Sport Centre Wembley for this game with a mixed ability team with two prem players and the rest of the championship team .
Invicta struck early when a flowing move between Kieran Tott Billee Hayter and John Thornton which allowed the latter to score . Invicta defended well and were dangerous on the counter and Billee Hayter added a second on the break . QPR created a good chance but that was saved well by Geraint Wilson and Donald Reidy-Williams cleared . Thornton went close from a couple of corners with Headers before Nsimba Lupepe headed against the bar with the keeper beaten . Dave Warde and Kane Malyon cleared well . Thornton added a third just before half time after good work by Hayter .
QPR Made changes at half time and Invicta switched tactically.
Thornton made it four early in second half and good pressure from Kieran Tott saw the ball fall to Thornton who made no mistake firing past the keeper . Connor Hunter chased a long ball that the keeper fumbled and Hunter tapped in his first goal for the club .
QPR did put on some pressure forcing Wilson to Save well . Invicta defended well to . Kieron Tott then got his first goal for the club capitalising on a poor pass to fire home . The Rs got a goal when a clearance ricochet into a strikers path and he fired home . Thornton then got his fifth firing home on the break as Invicta countered .

Folkestone Invicta Disability FC travelled to Deal for a series of games against Deal All Stars.
Game 1 Deal All Stars 0-1 Folkestone Invicta DFC Elliot Symonds finding the net .

Goals from Elliot Symonds 2, Luke Harrison 2, James Willis . Invicta played some good one touch football using the width of the pitch. An injury to Deals Jake Harrison not helping the home side .
Game 3 Deal All Stars 0-3 Folkestone Invicta DFC
Invicta pressed up field and kept the ball well forcing some fine saves from the Deal goalkeeper who put in a great performance. Elliot Symonds ,Geraint Wilson and James Willis and Billee Hayter scoring .

Folkestone Invicta Disability FC travelled to the Gallagher Stadium for the regional 11aside on a lovely sunny day.
Sussex F A 2-0 Folkestone Invicta
Invicta were caught cold in the first match despite missing a couple of early chances . Wayne Froud made a mistake from a cross shot allowing it to squeeze in at the near post . With Invicta pushing forward they were caught in a sweeping move with a superb strike to double the Sussex lead .
Folkestone Invicta FC 2-0 Maidstone United
Invicta turned in a brilliant second match performance closing down not allowing Maidstone no time using there wingers to cause problems. Man of the match Luke Harrison tearing the full back apart and When he played in Ben Hewitt he rifled home into the top corner . Invicta doubled there lead after good work by John Thornton, Jordan Head and Geraint Wilson, forced a corner, Jordan Head's Corner was met with a great header from John Thornton into the roof of the net . Peter lee struck the post from 45yards with an up and under . Invicta secured the win . Going into the last game Invicta needed to win by two goals to go through .
Charlton Athletic Deaf 0-3 Folkestone Invicta Disability FC
Invicta started on the front foot and forced an early corner which Rhys Haywood fired home through a crowded area to give Invicta the lead . Ben Hewitt caused Charlton problems going close . Rhys Haywood and Damian Barnett had goals ruled out for offside . But when Jordan Head Crossed a defender fired into his own goal to give Invicta a two goal advantage. Ben Hewitt fired home a third while Damian Barnett went close from a free Kick . Emma Hewitt and Kane Malyon defended well with Steve Lake winning ball in the midfield. The result was secured seeing Invicta through to the Quarterfinals. Along with Maidstone. Sussex the team that missed out.This may not of been the strongest team but the hunger to win those two last games was astounding.

Invicta travelled to Hertfordshire for a friendly which turned into a goal fest .
Invicta started well and took the lead on four minutes from Ben Hewitt with Invicta s link play causing problems with Elliot Symonds and Ben Hewitt adding further goals . Invicta s best move came when Damian Barnett found Emma Hewitt who's fine ball down the wing to Ben Hewitt who crossed first time for John Thornton to fire home . Invicta worked the ball around well with Jason Hughes and Billee Hayter scoring from Distance and Damian Barnett also scoring . Invicta conceded a penalty and St Albans pulled one back . Emma Hewitt had her spot Kick saved .Invicta led 9-1 at the break . Substitutes came on at half time and it was young Rhys Haywood who struck early and then added two more . Elliot Symonds both struck to add four each . Luke Harrison was found in space and his fine run and strike added another . Jordan Head then fired home from the edge of the box. Billee Hayter added a second for himself . Two own goals didn't help St Albans . Connor Day completed the scoring from the penalty spot after a foul on Man Of The Match Ben Hewitt . Not Before St Albans added a superb Second from 35 Yards .
As the saying goes you can only beat what's in front of you . ST Albans were missing some players but Invicta still played Quality football to destroy there opponents .

Folkestone Invicta travelled to the Abbey School for the second round of KDL fixtures  in the Prem Folkestone Invicta drew 0-0 and beat Maidstone United 1-0 and got the points against Charlton Deaf to put Invicta 2 points behind Maidstone with 5 rounds to play . Invicta s goal coming from Ben Hewitt .
In Champ2 Invicta drew 0-0 with Deal , Charlton and Swanscombe and lost 2-0 to  Maidstone and 3-1 to anchorians with man of the match James Willis scoring . With Geraint Wilson saving a penalty .

Northdown Rangers 6-2 Folkestone Invicta Disability FC
Invicta travelled to Margate for an entertaining cup game where the score Flattered the home side .
Northdown opened the scoring in the second minute when a poor ball in midfield allowed Northdown to capitalise and break firing home despite keeper Froud getting a good hand on it . Invicta didn't let there heads drop and started to play good passing football with Haymes and Avery linking but the final ball always slightly to heavy . Barnett and Lee defended well with Hughes also winning ball . With half hour gone Elliot Symonds broke into the box and was chopped down . He stepped up and fired home to level the scores . Both teams had chances  Barnett hit the bar but it was all level at the break .
Invicta started sharp after the break with Hewitt going close and Froud making a fine save at the other end and Head clearing off the line . With twenty five minutes left Northdown got a lucky break when a shot took a huge deflection off of Gilbert and flew past Froud to give them the lead . Invicta attempted to hit straight back and good work between Hayter and Symonds put Hewitt in looking well on side only for the opposing Lino to flag which the ref acknowledged .
Northwood then broke as Invicta pressed and with the linesman flagging the ref played on and gave a goal . Invicta attacked straight from the Kick off and Ben Hewitt beat two men and fired past the keeper to make it 3-2 Invicta Pressed and Avery had a chance go wide . But with gaps appearing Northwood scored twice in five minutes and then got a penalty with last Kick of the game to make it 6-2 . This was a good performance from Invicta and deserved more from the game .

Invicta s strike coming from Luke Harrison after Geraint Wilson closed a ball out of defence down .
Deal All Stars 4-3 FIDFC
Invicta went two nil up with Luke Harrison finishing off a mazey run and then Ryhs Haywood made it Two with a fine finish from Harrison's cross after good work from Jamie Haymes . Deal pulled a goal back and invicta added a third when Geraint Wilson volleyed home James Willis's header . This was a game of two halves and Deal pulled a second back from a fine free kick and equalised superbly . With Invicta ' s defence static Deal got a deserved winner.

Folkestone Invicta Disability FC won there first trophy of the season at Bromley Green on Sunday .
In the group Invicta started with a 5-0 win over Canterbury City turning on the style playing Quality football . Changes were made for the next game against a gallant Deal All Stars team who kept Invicta out till past the half way mark before Invicta struck twice to win 2-0 . Bromley Green was the third game and they were beaten 3-0 sending Invicta into the final where they played Canterbury City again . This ended with a 5-0 Victory goals from Elliot Symonds 3,Damian Barnett, Ben Hewitt .
Even though this was possibly easier than expected with some teams dropping out . It was the Quality of the football played that was impressive with a lot of two touch play opening up the other teams winning in style .
