(Assistant Manager)

Roland, or Edgey as he’s known by most folk at the Fullicks Stadium, rejoined Folkestone Invicta from Maidstone United during the summer of 2010 having originally signed for the club in 2007.

Edgey was a cultured left-sided defender who enjoyed a successful professional career cruelly curtailed by injury..

He joined his home town club Gillingham as a 16-year-old and made 126 appearances for them in the Football League between 1997-2003

Roland enjoyed some success in Scottish football with Hibernian and ended his professional career at Hull City.

He has the distinction of having played at both Wembley Stadium - when Gillingham beat Wigan Athletic 3-2 in the 2000 Second Division play-off final - and Hampden Park. Glasgow, when Hibs finished runners-up to Livingston in the 2004 Scottish League Cup Final.
