Allan Tait (2002/03)

Taity was signed from Deal Town after ‘circumstance’ brought him to this area from his native Crawley a wee while earlier.

Let’s just say that Crawley’s loss was our gain for the couple of seasons Allan was with us – scoring 40 odd goals in about the same number of games and forming one of our best strike partnerships ever with Jimmy Dryden.

Returning to Crawley Town he helped The Reds gain promotion into the Conference and to become established at that level despite some, shall we say, intriguing periods of their history.

Allan had a brief spell back with Invicta just over a year ago, but, sadly for both parties, the magic didn’t seem to be there.

Started this season with Leatherhead but has now moved on once more.
